Padmavati Mata Temple in Shere Village, Mulshi

We are learning about the Navadurga (Nine Goddesses) of Mulshi Taluka and their significance. Today’s seventh Durga is Padmavati Devi of Shere Village. Shere is a historic village in the taluka, and on its hills lies the awakened seat of Padmavati Devi. The original temple of the goddess is located on the hill, and later it was brought closer to the village. The idol of the goddess in the temple is four-armed and carved out of stone. The idol from the old temple is also four-armed and made of stone. The temple is spacious, and the hall is large. Many stories about the goddess are told. The surroundings of the new temple are scenic, and there is a memorial stone nearby. Throughout the year, various programs are organized by the villagers. During Navratri, many devotees come in large numbers to seek the goddess’s blessings. Whenever you are in Mulshi Taluka, do visit the Padmavati Devi temple in Shere Village for a divine experience.
